This Madison wedding was one of my favorites!  This fall my husband’s family gathered together to welcome in a new bride who I’m happy to call my sister!  Brad and Melody are fun and quirky and every part of the day fit their personalities perfectly.  They did their first look on the steps to the capital; a short distance from where they used to live.  And Melody wore a beautiful tee-length lace dress.  Before that, the morning started with Melody joining her friends at the Madison farmers market surrounding the capital.  They spent the morning, coffee in hand, picking out gorgeous flowers for the day.

The ceremony itself was a beautiful, sunny park pavilion nestled perfectly alongside a creek complete with a willow tree and a picturesque wooden bridge.  With friends and family watching, Melody crossed the bridge to enter the wedding.  I’ll never forget the smile and look of joy on melody’s face as she came across the bridge, waving at everyone watching.

The reception was also held at the pavilion with picnic tables, colorful table cloths, farmers market flowers, pie tins for plates, and the best folk music you could imagine.  The celebration continued into the night with endless dancing both there and at Johnson Public House; the perfect ending to the perfect day.  Congratulations Brad and Melody!  I’m happy to call you family!
